How do you monitor new publications in your field? How do you see the list of articles in your major journals?

It is now possible to set up electronic assistants that provide you with quick access to material like this. In some cases the list of articles includes links to the actual material.

If this would make your life easier, please come to the Lunch and Learn this Thursday at 12:30 pm in Memorial Classroom 200 and learn of some electronic systems that you might want to try using.

Focus: This workshop is customized for each location.

This hands-on workshop focuses on teaching the fundamentals of using a
Geographic Information System (GIS) for community analysis. Participants
will learn to create thematic maps with Census data, Geocoding (Address
mapping) and Spatial Queries. Other features of the workshop are learning to
extract Census data and good map layout and design.

[ED-TECH] New position in Instructional Advancement: Supervisor, Help Desk

They will go straight to this job listing. We are looking for someone to manage the help desk and provide and improve on the high quality support we provide to faculty and students.

We need a service oriented person with excellent communication and organization skills who is excited about the ways that technology can be used to enhance the already high-quality education being provided at UM. This is a new full-time A01 (exempt) position with a starting salary of at least $37,000.

Act quickly. With all the new things that continuously are being added to the Blackboard system, most recently the Grade Center and Respondus Lockdown Browser, we are anxious to fill this position as quickly as possible with a great candidate.
