[ED-TECH] Celebrate teaching, research, and service on Tue, 3/29, 5:00 pm

Ed-Tech list members,

Teaching, Research, and Service are the three pillars of our profession. Come celebrate all three on Tuesday, March 29, at 5:00 pm, in Storer Auditorium at the School of Business Administration.

The Faculty Senate will present the Distinguished Faculty Scholar Award, Outstanding Teaching Award, and James W. McLamore Outstanding Service Awards that night, and we can all celebrate our own and each other's accomplishments. It would be wonderful to see Storer Auditorium filled for this important occasion. If you can make it, please be there.

RSVP to the Faculty Senate office at facsen@miami.edu or 305-284-3721. There will be a reception following.

[ED-TECH] FW: Webinar Reminder: Using Rich Media to Drive Learning Results

Hi Ed-Techies.  Another webinar event.  I have been researching into video solutions for the campus and Kaltura is a strong contender.  Not just because they have a nice platform, but because they think about how video and related media influence teaching and learning.

I have met Chris Millet at a few conferences and the things that they are doing at Penn State with technology are really interesting.  You can view a few of them and get more information about Penn State's Media Commons here: http://mediacommons.psu.edu/

Hope you get a chance to view the webinar.  If you can't make it during that time, go ahead and sign up.  They usually post a copy of it later and send it out to the list.

You can also view past webinars here: http://www.kaltura.org/kaltura-inspire-webinar
