For access to some excellent material on teaching and learning, get a free Individual Membership in the tltgroup.org site. Go to http://tltgroup.roundtablelive.org/Individual and select "Individual Membership from a Subscribing Institution." Follow the screens and enter "University of Miami" for the "Organization" on the application form.
Once your account has been created, you can sign in and get access to Resources, Members Only Archives, FridayLive! Archives and more.
If you use PowerPoint in your classes, you MUST, in my opinion, view the TLTGroup's FridayLIVE presentation on "Rethinking the Design of Presentation Slides. It argues, with evidence to back it up, for a different way of constructing your lecture slides. Very convincing, to me.
