Ed-Tech Mailing list members,
I saw something on the web where someone was using a mind mapping tool
to keep track of what he had learned that week. I decided to try it out.
I have attached my document from last week, to show you what it looks
like. It is a pdf file, but each little "world" icon is actually a link
to the original source for that specific item.
Please share with me any suggestions for ways I could make it more
valuable (without too much more effort), or ideas for how you might add
something like this to your students' learning activities.
I use an app on the iPad called iThoughtsHD to create the mind map, then
I save it as a pdf file for distribution. There are LOTS of other mind
mapping software that could be used including FreeMind, a free program
for computers written in Java. That means it will run on any operating
system, as long as the Java runtime has been installed. Find out more
about this free program at http://freemind.sourceforge.net/.
