[ED-TECH] Announcing iacinfo.org

Ed-Tech list members,

The Instructional Advancement Center has created a web site to collect all the information that we know about. Please take a look at http://iacinfo.org and let me know what you think.

This site was created as a result of a request from some faculty members that ALL information regarding classroom technology at UM should be located in one place. We are continuously adding new content, but there is a lot there already. Please take a look. If it seems useful, bookmark it in your browser. If there are things missing, let me know.

This is running on the same software that runs Wikipedia. That means that the "Search" box is extremely useful. It is interesting that students almost always go directly to a search box when arriving at a new site and looking for information, while faculty and staff tend to read the page and try out some things before "giving up" and using the search box. I encourage you to try the links and look around when you first arrive. Later, if you are looking for something specific, try the search box.
